Top football freestyler, and holder of 20 Guinness World Records, Ash Randall is paying a one-off visit to Quadrant Shopping Centre to entertain shoppers with his amazing skills.
Taking place on Sunday 29 September from 11:30am until 3pm, Ash will be pitching up to JD Sports, showcasing his incredible ability in handling a ball, with a series of live football freestyling demonstrations. Visitors will also be invited to have a go themselves at workshops Ash will be running in Quadrant’s centre square.
Commenting on his unique talent, he said: “I’ve always enjoyed playing with a football, but it wasn’t until the age of 15 I discovered how much fun you could really have with a ball. Over the years, as my passion and aptitude grew, it finally became my full-time career and I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the globe with it, meeting so many different people along the way.”
Ash continued: “It’s an amazing feeling to see how much enjoyment football freestyling can bring to spectators. It’s even better when young people are inspired by it and want to learn themselves.
“Freestyle is a completely different side to football and really changes the perspective of what you can do with a ball. It also encourages creative thinking along with all the benefits of getting active,” Ash added.
Ash’s appearance will mark the end of Quadrant’s week-long and first-ever dedicated Shopping Week, which will see a host of retailers come together and celebrate all that the centre has to offer. It will include beauty stations, product demonstrations, advice and tips on this season’s hottest new makeup ranges, as well as amazing offers and free samples in abundance.
Lisa Hartley, Quadrant Shopping Centre manager, said: “Ash is incredibly talented, and we’re thrilled to be able to welcome him to the centre. His energy and enthusiasm, combined with his astonishing footwork, I’m sure, will leave everyone in awe.
“As a centre, at the heart of the community, we are not only committed to delivering an excellent retail experience, but also offer a platform in which to bring local talent to the people of Swansea.
“We have welcomed many gifted artists and entertainers over the course of this year and Ash is a great example of someone who has harboured a dream and run with it,” Lisa added. “We look forward to working with many more.”
Ash Randall will be performing at JD Sport at Quadrant Shopping Centre on Sunday 29 September from 11:30am until 11:50am. He will be running workshops and further demonstrations in Quadrant Shopping Centre’s centre square from 12pm until 3pm.
