๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ: โIโve been a retail manager, for about thirty years. I worked in various roles, before having my own vape shop in Sketty for 15 years, so this was good progression and my partner was pregnant at the time, so Iโve been here now since December 2023.
โI then talked to Chris about Simon getting a job here.โ
๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป: โIโve worked in security for about 12 years, including at the NHS and Cefn Coed, before I came here. Those were all night shift roles, and this is working in the daylight so Iโm really enjoying it. I like interacting with customers, walking around, and the teamโs great.
โThis isnโt the first time weโve worked together though. We worked together for Ty Hafan, Dave was the store manager and I was a volunteer.โ
๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ: โAnd our first job when we were 15, we were kitchen assistants and waiters in the same hotel, so weโve always found our way back to each other somehow.โ

๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป: โLike any brothers, we have our moments, but we do get along.
๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ: โWhen we were younger, we always used to play tricks and dress the same, so everyone thought we were the same person, and that we would do the job twice as fast as everybody else.โ
๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป: โWhich got us more tips then! People would think, โOh, that guy’s working really hard!โ
โWe do have different personalities though, like a ying-yang a lot of the time.โ

๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ: โWell, I’ve got five kids, so I don’t have any time for hobbies but if I did have time, Iโd probably go to the gym and listen to music for some peace and quiet!โ
๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป: โIโve got five nieces, and we all live in the same house, so it’s pretty much the same! They know how to get stuff out their Uncle Simon, I love taking the girls shopping. And besides that, I do a lot of computer games, computer repairs, the geeky stuff.โ

๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป: โTwin-sense is very real. Once I got attacked, and without knowing anything, Dave turned up at the scene.โ
๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ: โI was just chilling, and I had a very big sense of dread and foreboding kind of thing. And I went running down the Kingsway, to see what’s going on, and there were police and ambulance at the exact location where Simon was attacked.โ
๐ฆ๐ถ๐บ๐ผ๐ป: โAnd obviously we finish each other’s sentences. Thatโs a big thing. I think something and then he says it! Itโs the type of thing that people think is an amazing superpower but then when it actually happens you’re like, โGet out of my head, what you doing in there?โ
