Good luck Tara!

Join us in cheering on Tara, Boots UK Customer Advisor, as she takes on the TCS London Marathon this weekend!

“The London Marathon is such an iconic event which I’ve spent six years applying for, but I was finally lucky enough to secure a place in 2026, running for Sense, the charity.

“This is my first marathon ever, with the longest distance I’ve ran being a half, and I probably could have done a bit more but there’s people that have run less than me doing it. I’m sure the crowd will get me through, I’ve heard they are the best and it’s all for a good cause so that will get me to the end!

“Sense does so much for children and adults with disabilities and doesn’t get enough recognition so whatever I can do to fundraise and get to that end goal and help them, is a goal achieved for everybody.

“I’ve had friends with disabilities growing up, and my mother works in a school with disabled children so supporting them has always been important to me, and Sense is a very deserving charity.

“I’m currently feeling all the emotions. I’m excited, nervous, questioning my life choices and I can’t wait for that pint when I get to the finish line.

“There are about 15 colleagues from Boots coming up to London to support me, which makes me feel so lucky. I’m so overwhelmed, some people don’t even have one person cheering them on, so to have a whole bus full of people travelling up for the weekend with my friends and family, I’ll always be thankful to them. We’re like a family here at Boots.

“I don’t think I can put into words what running the London Marathon means to me, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. I’ve watched it on TV every year and volunteered for it last year and I was so overwhelmed then, so I can’t even imagine how this is going to feel. It’s going to be a hell of an experience, and I can’t wait to experience it myself.”
